Keagan's arrival into the world 1o days early caught us all by surprise. With a big project going out to bid and some other loose ends to tie up before taking off for paternity leave, Michael had to head into work for the afternoon leaving Mama HOME ALONE! Not to worry, Aunt Katie and Aunt Liz to the rescue! Aunt Katie came to play and entertain the troops while Aunt Liz got busy in the kitchen making chili, cornbread, chicken curry salad (for lunch the next day), as well as preparing baby food for her boys. We are blessed to have such wonderful aunts!
The dads and Papa came over after work just in time for the craziness of family dinner time. The highlights include: Holden throwing his water cup all over the floor, Griffin dumping his water cup down the front of his sweater (which was already covered in food because he has figured out how to take off his bib and no longer wants to wear it!), and Papa serving himself a cold bowl of chili on a salad plate!
Mismatched chairs, not enough highchairs, food and water spilled on the floor, utensils and napkins placed in the middle to "help yourself with", and dinner conversation consisting of screeches, giggles, and adults encouraging more bites in sing song voices...it was pretty much chaos- but we couldn't be happier.
...and Keagan...he slept through it all!
