Retraction

I think Keagan heard that I said I loved his little chubby body in a recent post and so he is showing how hard he is working on holding those abs in.  If only Snappy could do the same thing.

The Fair

Somehow my camera media card got into Emily's camera and when I got it back I was treated to some pics from Connor and Keagan's trip to the Fair with Grandma and Grandpa.  Looks like fun!
From one of my favorite movies, BABE "Good job little pig, good job."

Looks like someone left some lipstick on K's cheek!
Worn out on the way home.

Where the Wild Things Are

I really thought twice about even posting these pictures.  It was just a HOT September night -97 degrees.  Snappy stayed home from work and the kiddos came to hang out.  The wading pool was cool. It started simple enough - Keagan was the first up from nap time.

Then the rest of the crew joined in.  There were new trucks sent from Jo Jo.

We even called her to say thank you Jo Jo!
Then it was a simple spaghetti dinner.  I think maybe the wildness started with eating dinner with hats on.
At least they were using silverware, right?

Maybe something started with the mini ice cream cones for dessert.
C gave his mama a LOOK when she ate two!
Then when the mamas said "bath time", Papa said "just go rinse them off in the pool"  So this is what happened.  First there was scrubbing.
 Then there was rinsing.
Poor Griffin HATED this idea.  What happened to a nice civilized warm bath?
But then the leader of the WILD THINGS (Connor David) took off running just like a puppy out of the bath and the next thing you knew there were naked boys running everywhere squealing with laughter as the adults tried to catch them.

And G?  He went from tears to joy pretty quickly.

 Finally Emily caught one!
But C - oh no, he took off on the tractor.

It was a WILD ride but eventually all the wild things were caught, dried and dressed and sent home to bed.
What fun!
Papa is still waiting for the explanation for why C had one big toe painted red and one painted purple!  I think it is a secret marking of the WILD THINGS.

It's Summer - I mean September!

So much went on at Snappy & Papa's house this summer that there were very few chances to hang out there.  But now that all that painting and remodeling is almost over it was time for a little summer weekend at S&P's.
We are all happy about that! Can someone please tell me why everyone keeps saying this little boy is cranky - every time I snap his picture he seems pretty joyful!
This is one of the hardest jobs during a bbq - pushing everyone around.  I couldn't love Keagan's chubby belly any more and the fact that Griffin is holding on to his back fat!  LOVE!
Picking up his baseball skills from his big brother...Papa says K has the best arm yet.

Ring around the Rosie - K was so excited.
Especially about "the all fall down part"

Wonder how many times we will say "Pull up your pants!"

Guess what Emmie brought from the fair - Cotton Candy!  They flocked to her like little birds.

 Especially G-man the sugar fiend.
Even little K got his share.  Keagan your big brother would never have had this at your age.  You are one lucky little fellow.
So happy to have our kitchen back and our kiddos hanging out in our back yard.  Let's just keep pretending it is summer and not September.

C's First Duck Game

1:00 pm kickoff meant we headed to Eugene around 10:00.  Thank goodness this little football fan slept on the way down.
It was a beautiful (but HOT) day at Autzen.
Papa started C on the Papa plan - be in your seat at warm ups! He did not want to leave Papa's side even to go get a frozen lemonade - the treat his mama told him he HAD to have there.
Standing by the DUCK's Harley - so cool.
A little stop in the Moshofsky Center and of course a new football at the Duck Shop.
Then it was outside to play a little football by the new Athletic Center.
Kickoffs with bare feet - yikes, I feel a stubbed toe coming on.

 We LOVE our Ducks.
