This one is a throw back to mid July but Snappy wants H& G to remember those early mornings of sitting on their front porch watching the hot air balloon festival balloons take off and fly over. This year there was even one so low the people where shouting and waving "good morning!" Too bad you couldn't reach up and give them some of your hot cocoa boys.
Sharing our adventures as grandparents with family and friends, near and far. Thanks for reading along with what is turning out to be the story of our lives...love, Anne and Fred

First Sports Camp
It canNOT be that it is already time for his first sports camp. He was dressed in Giants gear and ready to go. When they got there he said "Mama, I am a little nervous." but he trotted right out there - such a big boy.
Day one was baseball - pitching practice.
There were also days for soccer and lacrosse.
This little guy was just trying to figure out how to sneak in that fence and pretend to be four years also so he could play. Your day will come sooner than Snappy wants, K!
H & G Spend the Night
We pulled in the garage and G declared that he really wanted to go in the attic. Now, C has been up there several times but not these two. Guess what they found? A castle!
Car shopping was long and not entirely successful so E & D were heading out in the morning which mean H & G got to have a sleepover! These pics are the next morning because it took hours after they went to sleep for Snappy to figure out how to put the thing together.
It was a hot day and I have no idea what was going on but they look like they were having fun and shouldn't everyone have a pic of your papa wearing only an undershirt!
Love their shaggy summer hair.
And I simply can not get enough of that belly even if it comes with an icecream dripping face.
Super Serious Spiderman
Yes it was still JULY (July 25th to be exact) and they had Halloween costumes at Costco. I am sure Christmas decorations are there by now.
Guess who just had to have Spiderman?
Then in the afternoon, (after Snappy had been to her Resurrection job till noon and then her Catholic Charities job until 3:30!) she met up with these super heros at Homegoods! Elizabeth headed off to go car shopping with D and we headed off for frozen yogurt.
Griffin said it was too hot so he just went for a Superman t-shirt but Holden was NOT coming out of that outfit. Or coming out of character.
And when we got home look what I found on my refrigerator.
He is a super serious super hero.
Who Needs Order?
Who needs order? Not Snappy, she just needs time! The blog has taken a back seat lately and I just know there is going to be a whole bunch of new pictures coming in soon. Elizabeth, Emily and Charlotte are in Tulsa for baby Maccoy's baptism and a Holloway cousin reunion - and to see Mark and Pam and wouldn't you know it JP and fam will be there this weekend too! Then next week we head to Black Butte so Snappy Stories is just going to throw out some random pics I find on my computer and we will all assume they have been in the last month. Maybe after BB14 (Black Butte) I can get in a routine again and start posting on a regular basis!
For now....random order....
Love this one of the H & G at the park. No lifeguard needed because Mom is on it.

C & K Sleep Over!
July 19, 2014
Emily and Michael went out to have a special Anniversary dinner and Papa, C & K went to "hit some balls." They were ready to pick out their club before they got out of the parking lot.
Papa had to get everyone all set up.
The boys were most fascinated by the special tractor that picks up all the balls.
Left handed or right handed? It changes every time!
Then it was time for a little putting practice but it was hot and we were thirsty!
When our time was up we hit our favorite El Ranchito for dinner ....and a Shirley Temple.
And we capped the night off with a little bed jumping onto the blow up mattress.
So much fun! Can't wait for another sleep over!
