Firsts

Pick up time for C & K came after Charlotte had been back to the doctor for a weight check.  Emily is over all this checking up - this is a third baby!  But it was wonderful to have Charlotte stop by for her first trip to Snappy and Papa's house.

 I am not sure if she was impressed but she was present for her first Duck game too.  Connor and Keagan had totally mastered "Go Ducks beat the Longhorns!" Papa says CA was good luck because they scored right away with her watching.

 I am not so sure.  I think she looks kind of bored!

 But once again she was not bored at all with watching C.  I wish I had a picture of her face - she just stares and stares at him.

 Keagan was standing guard while Snappy had his baby Charlotte.

  

They headed home for her first bath.  Wonder what firsts will be in store for tomorrow?

Papa Time

Charlotte had to go back to the hospital for another blood stick. Dustin and Elizabeth invited Connor and Keagan to go to the zoo but Connor had one request. "I didn't get to spend anytime with Papa so I really want to go to Papa and Snappy's."  He then told his mama that he wasn't coming home until after nap.  So it was off to Papa's garage they went.  These were taken from Snappy standing inside with my phone but I think they show why they love Papa time.

 The housekeepers were here and so we headed out to lunch and then home for nap.  We played and played and loved having them here.  It has been SO long since they just came to our house to hang out.

She's HOME

 Keagan had been super all evening long.  Everyone was playing together very nicely.  That baby arrived and he TOOK OVER.  He did not want anyone else near his baby or her things.  (or maybe it was his mama)

 Emily's face looks a little concerned.  It's ok, CA, you are going to get used to it.

 What happens if you push right here, mama?

 Baby Charlotte decided that the curve of Papa's belly was just the perfect place to sleep.

 So glad you are home sweet baby.

Welcome Home

 Aunt Liz did a great job of welcome home decorations and I think that is pink juice in her glass too!

 There were lots of balloons outside but it was dark and it was COLD so we didn't get that picture.

 Snappy and Papa made a good dinner but Charlotte's delay meant we all ate first...on pink plates.  

FYI - this was not a planned "dress alike" event.  This just happens more times than you know.  I think these mamas think alike.

Breaking Out

A little blood work that seemed slightly high left them with a few moments of wondering if they were going to be set free but finally the word came that they could break out of the hospital.

Charlotte Anne was dressed cozy for her first trip to the outside air.

 These next ones are especially for Papa.

 What?  Wait.  No one said anything about locking me down in this contraption!

 Old pros at this by now but no less exciting taking that new little babe home.

Undivided Attention

Snappy and Papa took Connor and Keagan home to meet up with the White's to get ready for Charlotte homecoming.  Mama and Daddy had their last time alone with Baby Charlotte.  Soak it up CA because soon you will be sharing them with everyone else especially C & K!

Two and Too

By day "two", Charlotte you must know you are "too" loved. Well, that is not really possible to be too loved but you are quite the center of attention.  Although Snappy is quite taken by noticing how beautiful her baby girl looks - Emily you are glowing.

 Papa finally got a chance to hold this little girl and clearly there needed to be a little blanket adjustment because look at those little feet sticking out!  You can see in the picture above with Emily that the baby actually had her super soft satin and minky dot blanket wrapped around her and it is so slippery that she just slides!

 These seem like super long feet to me!  Charlotte your mama only wears a 6 1/2 which is small but your daddy wears a 13 so let's hope these don't turn out like his or your shopping choices will be limited.

 Grandpa Humm got his first time holding Charlotte too.   What a lucky little girl you are to have so many people who love you.

 Then it was time to wake up and get alert because those special two brothers were here to see you again.  Connor wanted to make sure she remembered her pink bear he brought her yesterday and he taught her the first game of her life as he played peek-a-boo over and over.  She would just look and look for him.
