Showtime

Emily and Michael headed to the movies as the holidays wind down.  Showtime for Snappy Stories...Opening scene shows the Best Actor with a cameo appearance by the writer of the screen play.

Snappy has always loved food movies...

Adventure?  Oh yeah, when a six month old thinks he can pull up on anything and stand with just his elbow to hold him up.

Comedy?  LOVE this funny face...

And Papa wins for Best Visual Effects...there is nothing like a fire.

It was no surprise ending.  Connor was in his pjs and very sleepy by the time the producers came home.

Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...

It lasted about a minute on Christmas morning...

So now I have my cowboy shirt on and you want me to put on that hat?

It might not be ten gallon, but I am pretty sure it is bigger than my head...

You are sure you want me to wear it?

I can't crawl one handed!

Help, I can't see!

What you want me to try again?

 I am telling you, I CAN'T SEE!

Yee Haw!  Mama, I don't think you have to worry.

One more of my favorites from Christmas...

Ignore the dirty floor.  Love, love, love Papa and what some folks are calling his mini-me in their pjs practicing their crawling together.

The Stocking Tradition Just Gets Bigger and Bigger

The latest Hoagland, Holloway, Humm, White, Raines, Ladner, Miles to have the same stocking...they just keep getting bigger and bigger.  Thanks again to Santa's knitter, Jean!

First Haircut

Emily tried to cut Connor's  bangs today...it was quite a process for a wiggle worm.  Michael was trying to hold him still so I don't thnk there ended up being any pictures of the deed.   In the end most of the bangs were snipped and the baby still had his big blue eyes!  Good job Em!

Thanks Santa!

With so many people who love Connor, the Big C (Claus) didn't have to work to hard to come up with a few things for the Little C (Connor).  He just couldn't pack that first haircut in his stocking though!

Push the hair out of my eyes and show my beautiful blues!  No matter how many presents there were,  C's fingers are still the best!

Hey!  Why did Papa put me in this box?

Aunt Liz will rescue him!

Got his camping chair...now when will they just let him have a s'more?

His new riding toy ...won't be long till C takes off walking!

First train set...

Gotta love a new book from Aunt Mary Beth - don't know the story yet but it tastes good!

Thank you Big C, come back next year!  We all promise to be as good as we can.

Tis the Season

We have waited and waited for the Olsens to return for Christmas Break.  These three cuties spent the night (and Kirsten too!)  We were so happy to have Kirsten and the kids back in town.  We miss them since they left for L.A.  I did discover that having three kids in the house left no time for taking pictures, so this is the best I could do.  Connor was actually there too but I did not even get a snapshot of him!  What will I ever do if I have three running around on a regular basis?  All I know is...tis the season for sweet little faces.

Joy to the World and Elfin Magic

Papa continues to shine like that bright Christmas star on his weekly babysitting day. Last week he traded with me and had Friday morning. Now that Connor is mobile things are a little trickier...

Connor LOVES the heating vent and the idea that he could try to shove things down there.  Of course, Papa is watchful...

He came up with the perfect toy to entertain a boy - a duck call.  Now if Connor could only figure out which end to blow on.

No matter how cool this call is though, he didn't forget to make sure Connor had some Sophie time.

Papa seems to have feeding Connor down pat...first breakfast...

He knows how to make him snooze on the couch without being held.

Papa can get Connor dressed and looks like they managed to get lunch too...

Then a little more duck calling practice...

And somehow all throughout the day...this little elf was watching to make sure they were both being good boys!  These pictures are kind of fuzzy but Papa says that must be the elf magic because he never saw that little red guy.

Papa can do all this and take pictures to prove it! Emily is oh so impressed.  Papa brings Joy to the World - at least Em and Connor's.

No camera BUT a big success

I traded with Fred and it sent me completely off my game - I forgot my camera today!  The bottom line is that Emily and Michael threw me a challenge to get Connor to take his nap in the crib.  The only picture I have is the text message I sent them to prove Snappy has the touch.  It was only 40 minutes but he snoozed away by himself!  Snappy scores!
