Strawberry Shortcake Nights

This one is from last week - but I love it because Connor is listening to Aunt Liz and the look on that face is priceless.

 Maybe he loves her so much because she does things like giving him the whipped cream beater !

Delish !

 After a dinner of salad (C just ate the avocados and grapefruit), garlic cheese bread, homemade spaghetti sauce with zucchini and carrots, we had STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE !  When the girls were little we used to declare strawberry shortcake nights when all we had was homemade shortcakes, big bowls of strawberries and whipped cream for dinner and you could eat as much as you wanted.  It is just not June with out strawberry shortcake and I think Connor agrees !

If he eats anymore, his belly is going to pop !

 Definitely bath time was needed - come back for dinner any time E and C - next time we hope G & H join us. (E,D & M can come too)

Growing Boys

Emily - dinner with friends.  Michael - baseball game.  Dustin - work.  That left Papa, Snappy, Elizabeth and Connor for dinner.  Have to feed those boys !   Grow little buddies, grow.

Custody Agreement

The only way Connor was able to help Papa out today was with a promise to return him on time!  So sad C, you had to take off those wet John Deere clothes and put on Snappy clothes - hey, it was still a tractor !  Thanks Cat for the cute outfit !

Yard Work

The yard man showed up to help Papa with his Saturday chores today. 

And the cure for June Gloom?

OK...so I couldn't shut it down without just one more.  No one feels gloomy with this funny boy around.

It was cool and gray today.  Finally excused from Jury duty, I had visitors this afternoon!

Someone said it was "two pigs in a blanket" as they had eaten a whole package of cream cheese with pickapeppa sauce!

But this boy is never gloomy!

There were more cute pics but Snappy is tired tonight!  More later!

Happy Father's Day

Yummy lunch - brisket (thanks M & H for the tips), shrimp, spinach souffle, fresh peaches, french bread for some wonderful Dads and Dads-to-be.

I did not get a White family photo (sorry D&E) but these Humm ones are pretty cute.

 These guys are on a bug hunt - who would have ever thought?

MHP - West Coast Division

Look who showed up today with his Dad to borrow the truck.  Love the big boy haircut and Aunt Mary says he could work for a recruitment poster for the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Hair Cut!

Playing with the hose led Snappy to think.....

 it is time for a haircut!

 So while Connor was preoccupied with a bucket of water, Snappy went to work.

 It was just like trimming Sadie.  I chased him all over the yard.

 He hid in his mama's lap.

 Finally shed his clothes and tried to shed himself of ole Snappy and her scissors

 But it was looking pretty good in the end...ok, his mother says too short but that is the good thing about hair...it will always grow back!
