STRIKE!

STRIKES or GUTTER BALLS - we had no extra hands to SPARE.  Six adults and four kiddos meant the kids got passed around as much as the bowling balls.
These days bumpers pop up and down as designated per player and those shooting racks make it so much easier for little bowlers.  Although note Connor in the upper right of this next pic - he was ready to play on his own.

Holden was top score in the boys lane. Dustin beat Fred by 2 points and I am pretty sure Snappy, Elizabeth and Emily had lower scores than Holden, Griffin and Connor.
Someone had lots of fun and wasn't ready for it to end.
No one scored 300 but it was still a "Perfect Score."

Be of Good Cheer

Just a glimpse - it was a chaotic, crazy cyclone; charming and cozy; a chorus of chatting cute, curious cherubs; clicking cameras; all of good cheer.

Merry Christmas

Snappy & Papa Christmas

The Humms had Christmas at Grandma & Grandpas on Christmas Eve, Santa came to both the White and Humm households on Christmas morning and finally it was time to have Christmas with Snappy and Papa.  The punch bowl was filled, the cups rimmed with sugar, the cookies were made, the cheese looked like little mice and the crew finally arrived.
Of course then it was nap time before we could even begin to open presents!

Mama's Work

December 18, 2012
I know these posts are out of sync but I couldn't resist this one from my phone.
Last week Snappy took the boys to see Mama in her office - oh what a sight we were.  And you want to know the best part?
One of Elizabeth's co-workers told her it was "so nice of your sister to bring the boys by."  Now THAT'S a Christmas present for Snappy

The Children Were Nestled

Not really nestled yet but on their way.

And as for Snappy?  She is one tired lady and all this blog catching up is keeping her up way too late.  So with visions of sugarplums from this Christmas she is off to sleep.

Swim Fishy Swim

The new fish had to come watch these other two fishy boys take their bath.  Papa says be careful boys - those fish like worms.

Feasting on Christmas

D & E made one delicious Christmas Eve feast.  Papa was in charge of entertainment.
Holden was just plain hungry - if he could only get this napkin tucked in maybe someone would feed him.

Raise your glass - Merry Christmas!

A Whole Pew

The Humms made it just in time to join us in our pew for Christmas Eve Mass - all TEN of us and I bet those people behind us were either entertained or annoyed.

I absolutely love this next picture.  I promise it was not during Mass.  We just had to be there early to have a WHOLE pew.  Try keeping four little boys sitting in a pew for half an hour before church even begins...on Christmas Eve.  Do you think that lady behind us approves?  Poor thing she was so confused.  Holden was in Em's lap most of the time, the others moved about.  She asked me "are they twins?" and I wasn't even sure who she meant - Emily and Elizabeth?  Dustin and Michael?  Griffin and Keagan? (K is almost the same height now) or Holden and Griffin. I just said "yes" and she said they were "so cute and so good" - and I agree - all of them.

God Bless Us One and All

Christmas Cheer

It's Almost HERE!

Christmas Eve - What's For Dinner

 What was on the menu?
Certainly not fish!  That was the first present of the night.

E & D - you were amazing.  A beautiful table, little boys all dressed up, the table set for our return from Christmas Eve mass.  How did you pull this off?  Simply amazing.

I Want To Be Like Papa

If you want to be like Papa you first have to start with the clothes (well, Papa really doesn't even own a sweater vest ) and the black shiny shoes.
And you must have a chapstick for your pocket - that is a Papa thing for sure.
And yes, Holden those button down collars can get a little tight sometimes...this is like Papa too.
And if you really want to be like him, you definitely need your readers on.

He's a pretty good choice for a role model boys.

T'was the Night Before Christmas

Where do you think UP-UP the elf ended up on Christmas Eve?  Right where he should be - on his knees before the Christ child.

And since the Humms were spending Christmas Eve with the Humms, Snappy just had to stop by and grab that camera and steal a few cute shots too.

Dear Santa - I am being good.

I tell my little brother all about the world.
 I love him  - really I do.
I am trying to teach him how to walk.
Dear Santa, I am trying to be good.
