Dinner with Emily and Connor tonight. Connor could hardly eat for reaching for me to hold him. Be still me heart! And to top it off, I went to Elizabeth and Dustin's tonight to see the new nursery bedding - super cute!
Sharing our adventures as grandparents with family and friends, near and far. Thanks for reading along with what is turning out to be the story of our lives...love, Anne and Fred

Take ya' for a ride on my big green tractor!
Just getting together makes for an exciting Saturday night. But for a little extra excitement Connor got trip #2 around the neighborhood on Big Green. Watching his mom maneuver it out of the garage...
This is looking like fun...
Go Green Go!
Who likes it more? Connor or his driver?
So he got a little instruction from mom.
But his foot just barely reaches.
Mom controlled the pedal..Connor controlled the steering wheel.
Oh yeah, I can take ya' for a ride on my big green tractor.
We will miss you Papa!
Since last week was Springbreak there was no babysitting necessary. But now Fred is headed to Florida for TWO weeks. A Saturday night dinner was on tap.
Uh oh, Connor can reach the keys now from a standing position.
I wonder if he could play himself to sleep. He was getting close.
A little play time...
A little tool time...
We are going to miss you Papa!
Testing the Blog Fix
I was getting pretty frustrated with Blogger and finally got an email today saying the ability to post pictures was fixed! This was just a test to see if it worked. Too bad Connor couldn't give Google his STARE!

BBQ at the Office
We made it to the office where Connor set up working on his BBQ while Snappy worked.
He ate lunch, took a bottle and slept for an hour on my office floor. I am sure he would have slept longer if his loud Snappy and even louder Christy had not started talking.
Despite Connor's new found STRANGER-DANGER reactions, he was very, very good. Many people wanted to take him home and even more really wanted that BBQ!

It's a Lockout!
Big plans today to get some things done at my office with Connor in tow. After breakfast, we had a little playtime. Connor grabbed my keys from the couch and seemed a little obsessed with them.
Finally we got C dressed and organized for the day and I began the process of loading it all in the car. (Babies, sure take a lot of "stuff" for the day!) Last thing was to snap Connor in his carseat. As I did it, I handed him my keys and then remembered that I did not grab the bottle from the fridge. Ran inside and as I headed out the front door, I heard the unmistakable sound of the car doors locking! My purse, cell phone, keys and grandson were all IN the car and I was OUT. I would love to have seen what my face looked like!
Back inside to grab Emily's land line. Thank goodness she has one - Elizabeth does not! Called information, got connected to AAA and then discovered that the computer had connected me to AAA Plumbing but the lady was sweet and had the AAA number on hand. Did you know that babies locked in cars are top priority for AAA? But the dispatcher says "What number can we call you back on?" I felt like an idiot as I said "I have NO idea. I never call my daughter's house line. I have it stored in my cell phone which is locked in the car with the baby.
I ran around the car from window to window and played peek-a-boo. Watched as Connor took off both shoes and his socks. I sang songs and drew pictures on the rainy window. Did I mention that it was raining? Called Fred who immediately asked if I was at least taking pictures! The trunk was open and so the camera was available. Here is the best I could do...I was a little frazzled about keeping him happy.
Fifteen minutes later...the door was unlocked, I picked up the keys from the floor of the car where Connor had thrown them and we took off. He was asleep in about four blocks!
