The broken foot routine was that around 7:30 Michael would drop off Emily and kids at my house or Elizabeth's house. DogDog was waiting.
By evening he would come home and they usually ate dinner wherever they were and then Michael had to load everyone up, bathe them all, and get them to bed before getting up to do it all over again. Not all that much different you might think but when you suddenly have that other pair of hands almost useless, it was exhausting! He might not admit it but it was!
