When we asked Keagan what he wanted for his birthday his request was to go to a hotel with Snappy and Papa - "not the other kids" So off we went. Snappy arrived at the hotel and got a little celebration decoration taken care of.
Then I watched out the window for the birthday boy's arrival.
The other thing he wanted was to wear pajamas the whole time. Snappy said sure! Little did she know that his favorite pair were camo and about two sizes too small! But he was greeted like a VIP and given his own room key.
After checking out the room he wanted to go check out the rest of the hotel.
This sweet desk clerk put together a whole goodie bag for him with a happy birthday card.
With so many treats, he was off to a great start!
They had games in the lobby so we played backgammon - Keagan style.
Do you see him way down there. He literally sat in every chair.
Papa had brought McDonalds so it was lunch in bed watching cartoons!
Then the real reason for the request - to spend all day and night in the pool and hot tub.
After swimming for a couple of hours - K and Papa decided to head home to mow the yard! Now remember that this child only brought pajamas. He ran around with papa in the yard and at our house and then it was back to the hotel where he ran around some more - ran a hole right into this pair.
But oh! He was loving life.
They brought him milk and cookies in the afternoon and then went back and made him hot cocoa just for fun.
More swimming and pretty sure we were in the water past bedtime!
As you can see we had the Hilton Garden Inn all to ourselves! The next morning, dressed in yet another pair of jammies we went down for breakfast. The waitress brought him FIVE stuffed animals.
By that point we had built up how fun it would be to show everyone else what he had been doing so he agreed they could all come spend the rest of the day swimming too. So glad this super hero could make it.
Happy Birthday to Keagan - this may be the start of a whole new family tradition.
He left with his parents in tears because he did not want it to be over - me either K!
