So as we end one more night in Black Butte, it seemed that Zachary had one more job to do - put together a new bike for Cameron's birthday! Only he had no tools. But have no fear, Uncle Fred to the rescue.
One trip to the truck and we could fix a plumbing problem, adjust a carburetor, repair an electrical malfunction and surely there was something there to put together a bicycle.
Need a putty knife? - Fred has one.
Kate and I just kept our heads down on our puzzle.
But Lucas kept us entertained. Boy Scouts may be prepared but Uncle Fred takes it to a whole new level.
Half the fun was trying to figure out what all this stuff is!
We tried to stay on our task...
But Lucas kept distracting us...of course there are extra O.J. Simpson gloves in Fred's tool box...scary stuff.
And Lucas will maintain that it was really him who came to the rescue and finally got the brakes installed and working.
They did have a lot of opinions going into the project.
Love seeing these two working on a project together - and it was so nice to know that Kate had faith because she says the Holloways all have Leatherman tools. Little did she know Fred had more than most people have in an entire garage.
