We were slammin' in the activities on Sunday. Two darling boys came to Snappy and Papa's after chruch for a picnic lunch by the fire.
After a nice long nap they had a little piano lesson with Aunt Kate.
While they slept Aunt Kate and Elizabeth prepared a "let's pretend it's summer" meal - shrimp skewers, bacon wrapped asparagus, cheesy stuffed yellow and orange bell peppers, marinated salmon and a chocolate dark and stormy bread pudding. It was all delish but the bread pudding was over the top. If you aren't familiar with a "Dark & Stormy" it is a drink with ginger beer, a very gingery type of ginger ale, a squeeze of lime and rum. For the pudding, the bread was soaked in a dark chocolate cream and topped with candied ginger with a float of rum on the top before baking. A little whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce and it was a recipe to repeat again the in near future.
Of course, a real Dark & Stormy was the perfect accompaniment.
Baby Girl was looking darling as usual.
She slept while the boys played stomp rockets in the living room. How is that for a civilized Sunday dinner?
They did get a little civilized when they headed upstairs to make name cards for the dinner table. They chose stickers to match what they thought the person liked and feathers in their favorite colors. Nice job boys!
But someone was then ready to eat before the food was done. How is this for a happy face?
At least Keagie had a smile to match those rosy cheeks.
