Put A Bird On It

If you have ever watched Portlandia, you might recognize the Portland trend to "Put A Bird On It."  Birds are quite the trend and make just about anything "art" but ET put together quite the Bird Day and Snappy was receiving texts all day which pretty much killed me while I sat in another of Portland's trends, a meeting to discuss "equity."

First text simply said:

Put A Bird On It

 Then the Humms headed to the Whites and found this at the door - looks like all the stories of the day were going to carry out the theme.

 Then they painted paper plates and turned them into "nests."

 Then it looks like everyone had a bad and were sent out to the yard to search for materials to build the perfect nest.

 Snack break meant everyone had "beaks" (kitchen tongs) and a bowl of "bird food" (nuts, seeds, dried fruit)

 Then time to add your nature items to the nests.

And if that wasn't enough, then was time for making birds nests cookies.

 Teamwork - you stir and I will lick.

 Putting eggs in the nests.

The end product.  Remember all these pics were coming to Snappy via text messages.  At least it kept me entertained more than the topic of my meeting!

It got quiet for a little while and then post nap I got this one that just said "Saved you some cookies, wish you were here."  Awwwhhh.  Me too!
