Discover the Totem Pole

Love the enthusiasm of those who always want to be first.  Holden, did your aunt Emily teach you to run to the front of the line?
Oh yeah!  I am number one.
We were racing to get a first glimpse of the new totem pole at the fire station.  I thought it was crazy from afar but up close it is just the kind of sculpture the boys will love looking at for years to come - made from every kind of tool, motorcycle part and random pieces of metal.
And while it is not fully installed (note the do not cross tape) the boys loved the site and the donor marker not yet installed - but Griffin found his name.
Snappy struggles with pictures of herself on the blog and usually don't like them to show up.  As I thought about deleting this one, I decided against it.  There is nothing like being with these boys who break into smiles no matter if Snappy is dressed up with make-up or more likely who is make-up-less in baggy clothes and glasses.

Not one person in the world can make Snappy feel better than C H G & K and someday when they look back at Snappy stories or take their kids to see the totem pole with their name on it, I hope they smile at the funny pictures and remember how much their Snappy and Papa loved them.
