Based on the picks below you would think I was talking about Keagan. But really it was Holden and Griffin's day. While Snappy had them all morning the camera did not have a memory card. so there were no pics.
Snappy does not know how Elizabeth does it day after day. The boys had their one year appointments at 1:00. It was Snappy's job to get them there to meet their mama. I had to time morning naps, snack and playtime. Get everyone changed including myself. Pack the diaper bag with everything we needed for lunch. Pack an extra bag with PJs, bathing suits etc for after. Load it all in the car. Load two babies. Drive to
Burgerville to meet their mama (yes, we ate at Burgerville but it is NEXT DOOR to the doctor's office and for those non-Oregonians, Burgerville is a fast-food place but local, organic, blah, blah, blah) and then get both babies out of the car in my arms with diaper bag on my back. This.Is.Not.Easy. We get inside (thank you to the nice men who opened doors for me) and get both boys into highchairs with no help. Wash high chairs off with wet ones because we are going to the doctor right? who needs extra germs? Thank goodness Burgerville is full of helium balloons so once each baby has one tied to his wrist we are good to go. Push high chairs to the first table where they are about 20 feet from me as I order (things like whitebean basil burger and a banana strawberry smoothie - see totally healthy - ok so we also had a LOT of french fries dipped in ketchup) The babies were soooo good. They sat patiently at the table, looked over at me while I ordered, talked to everyone around them. Bibs on, lunch eaten, mama arrived and we walked next door for the doctor - whew, Snappy was exhausted but they were so good that if the car wasn't required I swear we would go out for lunch every Tuesday.
As for the appointment, Griffin is only a little more than one pound more than Holden. H is all muscle and we all know muscle weighs more than fat - at least that is what they tell me. These are amazing healthy babies and they have had some amazing parents taking care of them - with a little help from the extended tribe. Three shots each later and we were off to Snappy's where we had Keagan and Connor duty. Lots of swimming, playing and a little napping and K is really the only one who is still long enough for a picture.
So, who is getting so big? They all are but here is cute little K to prove it.
Love from Aunt Liz.
I might be the smallest but if you think you can get anything by me FORGET ABOUT IT.
