Snappy's Gone to NJ

Papa was on a business trip and Snappy headed to NJ to spend time with Aunt Kate ad Aunt Mary while watching McCaslin, Callaghan and Sloan.  So much fun and it could NOT have been a more beautiful fall New England week.

Don't let Jonny's office fool you.  It was New Jersey not Mississippi!
McCaslin made us a fire in the fire pit  - perfect for making lunch on a fall day.

Callaghan and Aunt Kate - note the Mississippi Highway Patrol tee shirt.  They may live in NJ but they will not let you forget where their roots are!

Callie was the most excellent tour guide for a long walk through the nature preserve that backs up to their house.

Looking out over the Deleware River to Pennsylvania on the other side.

Yes, Callie wanted to go sit out on that point - YIKES!
Lots of fairy hiding places here.

She asked us if we wanted to take the long way or the short.  Kate and Snappy said the short.  Callie took the road less traveled.  She shouted and waved to us from down in the valley.  We snapped this pic right before she fell backwards off that log!
But she popped back up shouting "I'm ok!"
Life in a 300 year old farm house - skinny, steep winding stairs, interesting little rooms tucked here and there.  Three kids, two dogs, one cat, not sure how many chickens, one rooster and one Gram and two Bad Aunts.  So much fun!

Snappy can't wait to go back!
